Welcome to Redcliff Minor Hockey! This page is designed to help parents and guardians understand how registration works, what to expect during the season, and how families play an important role in creating a positive hockey experience for every player.
Whether this is your child’s first time on the ice or you’re returning for another season, we’re glad you’re here.
Minor hockey comes with a lot of moving parts — registration, schedules, equipment, volunteering, and communication. Our goal is to make the process as clear and supportive as possible. Most team-specific information will be shared through TeamSnap, our primary communication platform. TeamSnap is used to share practice and game schedules, send team communications, track player availability, and share reminders and updates. Parents will receive an email invitation once their child has been assigned to a team. Parents are encouraged to check messages regularly and reach out early if questions come up.
If you ever have questions, we encourage you to reach out early so we can help: contact@redcliffminorhockey.com
Alberta Hockey provides some excellent resources for New Hockey Parents: https://www.hockeyalberta.ca/parents/new-hockey-parents/
Step 1: Complete Respect in Sport – Parent
Before registering your child for hockey, Respect in Sport – Parent must be completed through Hockey Alberta. Completion of Respect in Sport – Parent is mandatory for all families. This program promotes respectful behaviour, positive communication, and support for players, coaches, and officials.

Once completed, you will receive an HCR number for your player.
Step 2: Register Through TeamSnap
You will need your player’s HCR number to complete registration through TeamSnap. Keep an eye out for the registration link on our website News and Facebook feed!
If this is your child’s first time registering, early registration fees will still be honoured. Once fees are paid in full, the difference will be credited back to your card.
If you need help at any stage of registration, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
